- Jordan Cove Energy LNG LLC
Black & Veatch has completed the front-end engineering and design work and pre-construction planning for the Jordan Cove LNG Liquefaction Export Facility. The facility will use Black & Veatch’s patented PRICO liquefied natural gas (LNG) technology to produce up to 7.8 million tonnes of LNG per year for export.
Located on the West Coast of the United States in Coos Bay, Oregon, the Jordan Cove LNG Facility will help meet rising global demand for clean-burning natural gas. In addition, the facility will provide an economically competitive transport route to high-demand markets throughout Asia and other parts of the Pacific Basin.
With a surplus of low-cost gas available in North America and a growing demand globally, Jordan Cove LNG LLC selected Black & Veatch to provide LNG technology, permitting and engineering expertise to develop the export terminal, which will be a five-train facility.
The Jordan Cove facility will include two 160,000 cubic meter, full-containment LNG storage tanks and marine facilities to berth and load LNG carriers. The amount of LNG in the two tanks (84 million gallons) can supply enough gas to provide electrical power to 30 million homes for one day.
