Black & Veatch names McCann to guide investment solutions for water providers
InfraManagement Group (iMG), a Black & Veatch company, announced today that Francesca McCann, an expert in innovative financing structures and investment for the water industry, has been named iMG’s director of business development. iMG provides infrastructure management solutions to the water industry.
The water industry is under increasing pressure to manage its critical infrastructure with limited resources. McCann’s work in developing public-private partnerships (P3s) will advance iMG’s goal of helping cities and water utilities overcome financing obstacles.
McCann was President of Global Water Strategies and CEO of Abengoa Water USA before coming to iMG. In 2014, she led Abengoa Water’s industry leading development of the Vista Ridge pipeline project. The project employs public-private partnership financing to bring water to supply-strained San Antonio, Texas.

McCann began her water career as a Wall Street analyst and has been a respected thought leader in the U.S. water sector for more than a decade. She is involved in federal policy initiatives aimed at supporting the P3 model in water and teaches MBA “The Future of Water” classes at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and the Kogod School of Business at American University.
