Relocation reflects growing opportunities in power generation market
Black & Veatch today announced that its Edmonton, Alberta-based professionals have relocated to larger office space that will accommodate the company’s growth plans in Canada.
Today the local professionals guide Black & Veatch’s energy and water projects in Western Canada. Moving to the new office location on Edmonton’s west end provides the space to support existing projects and capture new business.
“Western Canada is one of the world’s leading energy markets, and Edmonton is a central stage from which Black & Veatch will drive its growth plans in an important region. The new space gives us room to grow and expand our client relationships in Canada.”
Jim Doull, a Senior Vice President for Black & Veatch’s energy business
In addition to Edmonton, Black & Veatch has offices in Markham, Ontario, and Burnaby, British Columbia. Together the offices support all of Black & Veatch’s business lines, including power, oil and gas, water, telecommunications and mining.
- The new address of the Edmonton office is 10403 - 172 St. Suite 203, Edmonton, Alberta, T5S 1K9.
- Black & Veatch Canada Company was incorporated in 1998. The Edmonton office opened in 2007.
- The company recently completed ENMAX Energy’s 800 megawatt natural gas-fired Shepard Energy Centre in Calgary.
- Black & Veatch provided engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for an expansion of the existing Sault Ste. Marie 3 (SSM3) solar park, owned by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts. The expansion added an estimated 1,600 megawatt-hours per year of clean energy production to the existing solar photovoltaic (PV) facility, located in Ontario, Canada.
