Consulting Services and Needs Assessment

The City of Chula Vista, California selected Black & Veatch to deliver an analysis of sensor technologies, review technologies (such as public kiosks) that can assist with environmental education programs, provide a deployment plan for the cities community Wi-Fi, conduct an analysis of smart technologies for transportation solutions, and review Measure P (a ten-year, half-cent sales tax to fund infrastructure needs) to make a high-level recommendation for smart technologies and solutions for the city.

Black & Veatch has also provided road mapping/consulting services for the 550+ acre mixed-use Bayfront Redevelopment in Southern California. Services provided include:

• Evaluated energy technologies to help meet 50% energy use reduction Settlement Agreement

• Evaluated options for enabling communications networks

• Assessed a broad range of smart city infrastructure solutions and business models

• Analyzed against financial and non-financial criteria
