Design-Build for Iceland Airfield Repairs and Upgrades

Black & Veatch is the Designer of Record (DOR) for this Design-Build project located at Keflavik International Airport (KEF). The purpose of this project is to repair and expand existing airfield asphalt pavement for taxiways and shoulders to include: taxiway widening, crack repair, seal coat, mill and overlay, re-mark repaired areas with new striping full slab replacement, and install new airfield lighting and visual navigation aids.

The project also includes: hot cargo apron isolated concrete repairs and full slab replacement, re-sealing concrete joints, asphalt shoulder repair, new shoulder construction, new pavement markings, edge drains, and an oil/water separator. Black & Veatch completed all site investigations, permitting, 100% design, and support during construction services for the project.
