Black & Veatch was contracted by General Electric (GE) to perform the port marshalling mechanical and electrical construction for Vineyard Wind, the nation’s first utility-scale offshore wind energy project. Located 15 miles off the coast of Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts, Vineyard Wind will consist of 62 wind turbines that will generate renewable energy for over 400,000 homes and businesses in the area, while significantly reducing carbon emissions.

Drawing upon experienced engineering and construction professionals from across the globe, Black & Veatch provided project management and EPC services for the delivery EV charging stations at more than 1,000 locations across four European countries.

On June 29, 2023, Liberty Asbury Power Plant was brought down 3 years after being decommissioned, and more than 50 years after it was first commissioned. This implosion was just the next step for the site’s journey to continue providing the community with safe, affordable power.

Marubeni Corporation built the two power plant projects – Chana and Wang Noi – at the same time and with identical schedules. The two plants had different configurations, site conditions and Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand project teams. With the completion, 1.5 million homes in Thailand are now benefiting from 1,530 megawatts of additional power.
