Mark has led assessments and risk reduction projects for large utility and multi-national corporations. He has over 10 years as a Distributed Control System (DCS) /Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems (SCADA) systems designer and project engineer, integrating operational technology (OT) work cells into networked operational environments. He has extensive experience in both IT and OT cybersecurity operations, tools and techniques. He currently participates in the Black & Veatch Knowledge Network (BVKN) as an independent consultant supporting the risk assessment and program risk reduction strategy development and recommendations for Louisville Kentucky Electric. Mark provides valuable technical, governance, risk metrics and cost inputs to Black and Veatch deliverables.
In his current role, Mark supports Black & Veatch and LKE in the development, design and implementation of the information flows associated with the Utility project workstreams. He identifies and recommends the mitigation of cybersecurity risks at all corporate organization levels. Mark enjoys working with the Black and Veatch technical and project experts to deliver value for the client with discrete measures of risk reduction and cost-efficiency.
