21 years of consultative business development, commercialization, and scale-up of clean technologies, Yatin has a keen understanding of related policy and regulation advisory globally backed by a degree in Environmental Science and Business.
He is a strategic specialist in Asia and the Pacific across public and private sectors, including finance, with successive achievements in de-risking investment and project development, technology due diligence and transfer across the cleantech (energy, waste, water, green buildings, agritech, environmental and climate change) sector. At Black & Veatch since 2018, for example, he has been involved in the development of over 40 GW of power-related projects internationally.
Starting out his career in 1999, within the software as a service sector, Yatin joined the Singapore Environment Council (SEC) in 2001 to champion the development of Eco-labeling schemes for consumer and industrial standards and certifications alongside the Singapore government. Subsequently, he established a private consultancy practice offering independent services to the built environment sector, international assessment rigorous Life-cycle and supply chain certification and advisory, offerings to scaleup of Cleantech Solutions, and ERP software development across APAC with partners from Europe and North America.
In 2010, Yatin joined the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS) to spearhead the development of deal brokerage, market entry and growth acceleration. The discernment of the technical, business and regulatory domains laid the foundations to launch the first regional Cleantech Incubation and Testbed facility, an energy efficiency government fund for SME’s, further aided the growth and development of the cleantech sector in Singapore and across APAC. With more than a decade of building a strong rapport in the APAC domain, Yatin furthered his contributions to the Energy and Environment sector with DNV GL’s APAC Energy Advisory team catering experts towards the growth and development of renewables and smart utilities regionally.
Yatin joined Black & Veatch as Managing Director, Management Consulting to spearhead the growth of innovative low carbon / sustainable solutions, de-risking business strategies and investments cleantech, and smart utility & digital transformation.
